Hello! My name is Isaac, and I’m a software developer with 5 years of professional experience. In 2024, I founded OpenArk Systems, my software consulting company.

Throughout my career, I’ve taken on a variety of roles—from front end and back end development to cloud infrastructure and embedded systems. I’ve led teams, worked with legacy systems, built to open source projects, and started the software foundations of new businesses.

As anyone who has worked with me will tell you that I am relentlessly organized. I love the opportunity to work on a team, but I am also very comfortable tackling problems by myself.

Generally my focus is on coming up with good, simple, long term solutions.

I am doing this because I love it. I have been running a homelab in some shape or form for the last 10 years, running experiments and generally having fun.

Outside of work, I’m an avid climber, hiker, and musician, enjoying life on Vancouver Island and swimming in the Salish Sea.
