LifeFrame
Life Frame is a completely free, open-source app designed around a simple idea: capture one photo every day to build a visual timeline of your life.
Closed Beta Testing
LifeFrame is currently in closed beta for the Google Play Store and we're looking for volunteers to try it out! We'll be putting it on the iOS App Store soon.
If you're interested in testing, please send an email to isaac@openark.net with your Google account email to get signed up.
How it works
The app optionally sends you a daily notification to remind you to take your photo. When you do, it captures images from both your front and back cameras, giving you a complete picture of your moment - what you're doing and where you are. These photos get combined into a single image and stamped with your location.
Features
- Daily photo reminders
- Dual camera capture (front and back)
- Works completely offline
- Optional bug reporting
Whether you want to document your travels, track your daily routine, or just create a visual diary of your life, Life Frame makes it simple and private.
Privacy first
We don't collect any of your information, photos, or location data. Everything works offline and stays on your device. Your photos are saved directly to your device's gallery, and if you have cloud backup enabled, that's between you and your cloud provider.
Completely free
Life Frame is totally free with no ads, subscriptions, or premium features. If the app provides value to you and you want to support development, there's an optional donation feature in the "About OpenArk" screen - but it's completely voluntary.
Open source
This project is open source, which means you can view the code, contribute improvements, or report issues on GitHub.

We Don't Collect Your Data
LifeFrame doesn't collect any of your personal information, photos, or location data. Everything stays on your device.
How It Works
Your photos are saved directly to your device's photo gallery. If you have iCloud or Google Photos enabled, those services might sync your photos - but that's between you and them, not me.
Crash Reports (Optional)
If you experience a bug, you can choose to send us your logs from the app settings. These reports help us fix bugs and might include GPS coordinates, but it's totally up to you whether to send them.
